BROW FAQs

Permanent makeup is not a science. Healed results will vary by each individual client. There will be no guarantees & no refunds. This is a TWO-STEP process: initial session + perfecting session (initial touchup). Not everyone will need the touchup, but many do. Correction cases may need a third session to achieve the desired look.

How is brow shape determined?

We take into consideration of our clients eye shape, bone structure and personal preference. Once completing the brow shape outline, we will come to an agreement before moving forward with tattooing.

What is sterilization/sanitation process?

We are Alberta Health Services inspected and approved.– All needles are single use and come in sterilized packaging. Needles are disposed of after each client.– Glove are worn at all times – All machine parts and surfaces that may come in contact with fluids are all wrapped with protective barrier film.– All work stations is thoroughly disinfected. We use as many disposable one time use tools as possible.

Is a 6- 8 week touch up necessary?

A touch up is highly recommended to perfect the brows and add density. Everyone heals differently. This is a process and some clients may need multiple sessions to achieve their desired result. Thereafter, annual color refresher is recommended to maintain the color.

Please note that all skin types are different. Some client’s skin may have a harder time retaining pigment and may require more sessions than others.

I have a previous tattoo/microblading can you tattoo over or fix them? Will it be a touch up?

The tattoo must be VERY faded in order to work over or corrected. Working over other artists work is often times more work then working on a blank canvas and for that reason we DO NOT touch up other artist’s work for touch up pricing. Please let us know if you have had any previous work done.
**Extra fees will apply if color correction is needed.

What is microblading and how is it different from nano?

Microblading uses a blade that slices the skin to deposit ink. Nano is performed using a digital machine and a one point needle. . The difference with our digital machine technique is it allows the pigment to penetrate deeper into the skin with the machines vibrations. However, this is still semi permanent. With deeper pigment penetration, the tattoo fades more evenly. Nano needling is less trauma to the skin.

Will my eyebrows fade blue over time?

No, blue only happens when an artist uses straight black pigment on the skin. Since black is not a true colour, it fades blue over time. We DO NOT use straight black on anyone.

Proceed to wrap your eyebrows with a thin layer of saran wrap for 1 hour before your scheduled appointment. This method will ensure you feel completely numb by the time we start tattooing.

What is the Healing Process like?

What to expect for the next 14 days:

  • 24 hours - Any redness or irritation will decrease.

  • Day 1-3 - Avoid all sweating and all water contact on new eyebrows.

  • Day 2-6 - Brows start to oxidize, brows get darker and thicker.

  • Day 4-10 With a Q-tip, apply a paper thin layer of the provided ointment every 3-4 hours.

  • Day 5-10 - Scabbing, itchy, Uneven, Patchy. DO NOT SCRATCH, PICK OR PEEL YOUR BROWS.

  • Day 10-15 - Brows may appear light and uneven as your skin is resurfacing. The colour will reappear slowly.

  • Day 14 - Brows should be completely healed, now you have to wait for the color to resurface.

  • 6-8 Weeks - Final colour will be apparent and eyebrows are full healed.

The healing process is very similar to a body tattoo. The eyebrow area will begin to oxidize and gradually get darker. The darkest will be the following day. Any redness will subside in about 3 days. By day 5 to day 10 brows will begin to scab and flake. Healing time for everyone is different, some people heal in 4 days while others take the full 14 days.
